Disappointed customer
I had told them to send for service only when I ask them. Instead, service man came and within 5 minutes was gone. They had done that before.

I have been a Terminix customer since 2007. I had an amazing experience with our previous technician. He was our tech for many years. He went out with some kind of medical issue. I understand these things happen.
This is where my troubles started. My 'local' branch is over an hour away from me. Trying to schedule someone to come out is almost impossible. If they do come out, even though I've told them when making the appointment what my issue is, they never have the right equipment or enough of it to complete the job. When I asked for poison traps for mice or glue traps, they never seem to have enough. I get a different technician every time they do come out and 'service.'
Now let's talk about them constantly bumping up my price. I understand inflation happens. You have to pay for your tech's gasoline and your chemicals. This shouldn't be a constant thing, and I shouldn't have to call and threaten to cancel just to get my price down where it's reasonable. I recommended Terminix to my children when they were old enough to have their own place. They had the same issues I had with inconsistent technicians, technicians not actually doing their job, etc. They all canceled their services after a year or so.
I maintained my service even after all of these issues came up. At one point several years ago, I needed something called 'exclusion service' because of a mouse/bat problem in my home. We are clean people but live near the woods, and the home is older. We got the service even though it was pricey. We decided to also have them blow in new insulation into our attic.
The attic and the exclusion services were great. When the time came to renew the exclusion service, I didn't feel the need. For the two years we were under contract, we no longer had a mouse or bat issue. We decided to cancel. When we started having the issues again, I called to try to get them to reinstate that, and they said no because I have a metal roof. I had a metal roof before, but now for some reason, I can't have it.
Fast forward to last month. We had a new 'Pest Control Consultant,' Ethan Seckel, come out and basically look around the house and try and sell me something. He said we needed exclusion service and termite service. I told him I agreed with the exclusion but not the termite. I also mentioned to him that I needed a wood-burrowing inspection done for a refinance on the home. He said he would do the inspection I needed for free if I would agree to one of his services. He mentioned the inspection I needed was normally $300+. I knew I needed the exclusion anyway, so I thought it was a win-win. Boy, was I wrong!
He had me sign a two-year contract and to pay $107 a month for the two years for the exclusion service. He said to give him until Monday to have the inspection complete and that he would send it over to me for me to sign. Monday came and went, no inspection. I reached out to him, and he didn't respond. I reached out to him again, and he said he had forgotten. He said he would work on it. A few days went by, and my loan company was breathing down my neck about getting this inspection done. I reached back out to him, and he had no response. I waited a day or two, and I reached out again. He said he had taken the weekend off to go fishing, and he would get back to me on the next Monday. I reached out to him twice that Monday and never got a reply. It's now been three weeks. I've still not got a reply.
I decided to take it to the company. I spoke with them on chat in order to have a record of the conversation. They said they would have someone come out and do the inspection, but there would be a fee. I informed them I wasn't going to pay the fee. I was told it would be free for signing up for the exclusion service. I was also told the inspection that Ethan had set up wasn't the right one.
As far as the exclusion service, Ethan told me all these elaborate things that the technician would do to ensure my home was sealed up and keep the mice out. Two days later, a man showed up with a little steel wool and some expanding foam. He said he had to order a dryer vent cover for me. He said he would be back to check on the poison traps. I asked him about all the elaborate things he was supposed to do, and he said he would come back and do those. He never came back. The only time I was even able to hear from that team was when their manager told me he would be sending the tech back out. That's after I requested to cancel my service and to speak to the branch manager. The only thing this worthless customer service department can do is email the branch manager and district managers. I've now called four times to cancel the exclusion service since the initial visit by Ethan. No one is returning my calls or sending me any emails. This has been the most ridiculously abysmal example of how to treat long-term customers and customers in general. All I want is to cancel my services and not be charged the $107 a month for absolutely unacceptable service. When I call the customer support department, they tell me they can't do anything until the branch manager reviews the cancellation. Well, why hasn't he reviewed it in three weeks? Why can't he get off his lazy butt and actually do some work? Why am I the one who has to pay for his incompetence? This is ridiculous!

Not only would I never use them again I'm telling everyone I know every survivor every person that over came anything is life never go with Terminix in Lafayette Louisiana because the Branch MANAGER speaks to women with less respect he would give to his own kids.
I have been on the phone all day about my order.
I called for a appointment and they came out of yesterday. The guy told me he saw the issue, we had seen a mouse and I paid over 250 dollars that same day for someone to come out to take care of it. The guy told me someone would call me today and set up my appointment time for tomorrow. No one came. I called today and I was told an appointment time was set up for 11-1. No one called texted or emailed me to make sure I would be home or even if I was okay with it but I needed the services so I said ok..i was told I had an old bill. I informed them I didn't know and said let me take care of that right now as I did.
I stayed home called my work and told them I was just told that I had an appointment I can't missed. They were not happy as you can imagine hours before I was to show up. Well right before 1 no one came or called and I the customer called them AGAIN. I was told that MY APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED they didn't know why and no one can come out today. I was UPSET. I felt used and mistreated. I called again and was told the something. I told them everything I just told you and they tried to call the home office and tech but told me they tried more than twice and no one would answer and they could set me for tomorrow. I was so upset, but I needed someone to come and I had paid. I told them tomorrow morning. They told me no one can come tomorrow morning it would have to be tomorrow for. 3-5. I told them I felt horrible because as a customer first I was lied to that someone would call me for an appointment and they never did. Next I call them the next day and an appointment time was set that I never agreed to. I had to call into work to be off that day now. No one showed up nor called texted or email me as I waited on them and come to find out my appointment was cancelled and I wasn't notified but was waiting and now I have to put aside not only a day or work missed but also family plans for tomorrow evening going to a basketball game where my nephew was playing and my daughter was cheering. I had no choice to accept THEIR time. I felt like they were the customer now.
Customer Service was awesome they actually listened to me and understood why I was frustrated.
I leave to pick my daughter up from school she gets in the car half way home my phone rings and it a guy who identifies himself as the branch manger.
He tells me that I'm going to return your payment and remove you from services. I tell him why because I spoke with higher up? He meanly says NO BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT A YOU ARE NOT A GOOD CUSTOMER AND I LOOKED AT YOUR ACCOUNT AND MANY TIMES YOU HAVE NOT PAID THREE TIME YOU WENT WITH OUT PAYING ONCE FOR YEARS AND YOU ONLY PAID IT THIS TIME TO GET SERVICES BACK! I told him but I paid and that's not why I paid as I told them before I didn't know it was a payment ONE payment unpaid when my account was not paid and when I found out each time I paid it. He said once you went years with out that payment. I said yes I felt on hard time those three times BUT when I found out and got it I paid it and return and Terminix have NEVERRRR had an issue with me but I did fall on hard times. I could have not paid it and easily went somewhere else but I didn't. I paid it each time no matter if it was a year or so I STILL paid it and came back with no issues. He was busy screaming at me saying you don't pay your bills and you want to be upset or something like that and I just kept saying I fell on hard times but I never went anywhere else I got my stuff better paid Terminix and came back. He said I'm blocking you on all Terminix and saying to not add you back anywhere. I told him that's fine as you said send my money back or how ever y'all do it don't process the payment whatever let it return to my card and I'll find another one because there are so many out there and they will take ownership of a mistake and try to make it right but you pull up old bill that went unpaid but we're paid and make that the discussion as I'm still a customer that was requiring services that I DID pay for and you are upset because I went over your head. He said I've never met you before what are you talking about. I said again that's fine you haven't.
My issues is as a BRANCH MANAGER he allowed his emotions to get the best of him because he was upset that I reached out to others with my issues when I couldn't get to him. I had every right to. No matter what I HAD PAID for services that day and he treated me like a homeless person asking for a favor or a dollar. How do you talk to someone like that who just paid 250 plus dollars for a service that didn't get alone with the 89 dollars owed? I PAID all that and he treated me like a ***
What he didn't know and I didn't feel I had to explain my "HARD TIMES" I felt on was I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had my surgery and three lumps were removed. I was out of work and only my husband was working with a kid at McNeese University, one in highschool and one in middle school so we had to let go off things we wanted for the things we definitely needed as far as lights water etc. the pest control became something we can get back later as we did. I return back when I got well and paid my account and continue as normal.
Well, I got breast cancer again. This time it came back more aggressively and I was told I would need a double mastectomy to save my life. My oldest was now graduating from college and took off his senior year to come home and work at Wendy's to help in the house because I couldn't. WE HAD NO MONEY. I can remember talking to my technician who was a sweet guy and telling him all this. My other son was playing basketball trying to get a scholarship. My work let me go although I wasn't upset because I would be out for more than a year, I understood. My husband just did his own lil pest control for us. It was working and I was okay.
Recently my daughter saw a mouse. My husband now work out of town and only comes home on the weekend. We are at a better play, more stable place where I don't have to go for a while and stop to keep the light and other bills paid. He got some traps but they were not working so I asked him could I go back to Terminix for peace of mind. He said he would put it on his card and take care of the bill so I called to start over to only have your branch Manager call me and disrespectful tell me all he did. My daughter was with her she's 15! Her words were momma I wish daddy was here because that man would have never spoken to daddy like he did to you.
I told her unfortunately you will meet grown men who will do things like that. He has no clue all we went thru. He just kept throwing at me how I didn't pay my bills not knowing we were worried about winter coats and food and bills and he can't even respect that when we got right i CAME BACK TO TERMINIX. I never tried to go anywhere else. I stayed as true to them as I could for him to call my phone and tell me all he just said. He doesn't know I'm walking around breastless. That i went bald TWICE. That thank GOD for all the cancer programs that gave you all Christmas gifts when we couldn't. And he's a BRANCH MANAGER.
But it's okay because EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA EVERY BREAST CANCER GROUP AND ON THEIR PAGE I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT TERMINX BRANCH MANAGER DID. EVERY REVIEW I CAN GIVE. ANYONE I TALK TO. ALL MY CHURCH MEMBERS EVERY RELATIVE AND EVERY SURVIVOR EVERY DOCTOR NURSE EVERYONE WILL KNOW

Terminix is an absolute DISASTER to deal with.
I bought a policy last summer for a home that I was selling and the buyers wanted a pest policy on the home until Dec 2024.
I canceled the policy in Dec 2024 with a promise from the branch manager that there was no 'early termination fee'.
On 7 Jan 25, Terminix withdrew $100.58 from my account.
I called Customer support and once again I had to cancel the policy. Apparently the cancelation in Dec 24 wasn't enough. However this time I have it in writing from the branch manager that it was canceled and that the $100.58 would be refunded.
BUT... on 14 Jan 25, instead of a refund, Terminix withdrew another $402.32 from my account for a total of $502.90 that needs to be refunded. I'm thankful that there was no overdraft further complicating the issue.
The branch manager James K*** sent an email to me on 14 Jan 25 indicating that customer service will be refunding the money.
However, I have tried a couple of times by email to Loriel *** (customer service) to get an update about this refund. The branch manager, James K*** says that he has done everything he needed to in order to get this processed.
I am not getting a response from customer service after I've emailed them about refunding the $502.90 taken 8 and 15 days ago from my account.
If I would have known that it was going to be such a hassle dealing with Terminix I would have chosen a competitor.
Today, I will be escalating due to NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I will be posting on social media about the hassle of dealing with Terminix. This will include to landord groups on Facebook where sometimes pest control issues are discussed.
I will be opening a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
I will be canceling my debit card to prevent Terminix from withdrawing more funds. The refund will have to be by check.
If the above is insufficient in getting my refund, I will be exploring legal options to recoup the funds as well as legal fees and court costs.

I signed up for services with Terminix in Memphis, TN sometime in July of this year at a rate of $55/month. In September, I was unable to pay my bill so Terminix canceled my account.
On October 18, 2024 I paid for the services for August and September and was told by three different technicians that my services was indeed canceled. On November 4, 2024, I was charged yet another $55 charge for services even though my account was canceled. Ever since then I have called Terminix 13 times and all 13 times I was promised that someone from HQ would call me, and they never did. Upon the last time I called which was last week I was told that HQ said the charge was legit and that my account was never canceled even though my account says it is closed and the representative said my services was canceled and was done so in October.
This is the accounts in chronological order:
-Sometime in July I signed up for services.
-In early to mid-August I spoke with a tech who came out to my house about not being able to pay for services, and he called his supervisor on speakerphone and the supervisor said that my services will be canceled, but I would still get one more service at the end of the month
-Upon the last week of August a technician showed up, and he confirmed that my services were canceled until I paid the overdue balance, and then I could restart the services which I said I did not want
-I received a call from Termini thanking me for my patronage and sometime in early October. They said they would like to send one more technician out as a courtesy to try and get my business back.. When the technician showed he said it was just a courtesy check and to lay more traps. I asked him if my services were still canceled, and he said yes, that they were canceled in September.
-On November 4, 2024, I got charged on my credit card services done by Terminix and when I called they said my account was never canceled and when I told them it was and showed proof by a screenshot of my account being canceled.
They promised someone from HQ would be calling me within 24-48 hours. No one called.
-On November 7, 2024, I called and was once again told my services were never canceled and someone from HQ would call within 2448 hours. No one called.
-On November 12, 2024, I called and was once again told my services were never canceled and that HQ said that the charges were legit and they would not call me. After arguing for 45 minutes I was told someone from HQ would call within 24-48 hours.
No one called.
It is now November 17, 2024 and I still have not received any call from Terminix. I have had to cancel my loan along with missing a payment and I had to cancel my card-twice-because of Terminix. I have disputed this charge with my creditor but it takes them forever to dispute a charge. My credit score along with my reputation with other companies including Xfinity whom I rely on to do my job and my schooling has been destroyed because of Terminix.
According to the thousands of reviews I have read from different websites they are notorious for refusing to cancel customers' account and continue to charge them, sometimes for months. It is past time they get reprimanded and fined for this illegal and immoral practice.
Edit on Jan 24, 202: I am now being harassed by Terminix through robocalls. They read my 2nd review about calling me 4 times a day requesting payment that they received even after telling them I have alerted my attorney and to stop calling.
These people just wont get up. This over $55???!!!

People pay good money for services that only use about five dollars of chemical. This company has really gone down hill bad. Its best to use a local company NOT TERMINIX Save your money

Terminix does not live up to their contract! Terminix does not keep appointments.
They do not show up for their annual inspections, do not call to let you know they are not coming, leave you on perpetual hold when you call to find out why they haven't shown up, and then disconnect you after holding for over 30 minutes! This is not a reputable or reliable company. Do not hire them!
So far they have not kept 2 appointments within a 9ne week period of time. Their customer service is HORRIBLE!

Good Evening. I am a Terminix customer with a termite bait system installed at my home.
I have been on the telephone with a service representative on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
The customer service representative stated that I do not have an active bait system contract with Terminix even though they were installed on September 30, 2023. I have documentation that they were installed but Terminix did not document that I have a bait system.It shows I have liquid termidor agreement. The representative said nothing can be done to show that I have a bait system and that Ihave paid for it. The representative stated that the bait systems will not be inspected.
This is a problem.because the local company did not send in the proper documentation showing I paid for a bait system.How can this matter be resolved. I have a bait system that is paid for and I need them serviced. I need Terminix to update my information to show that I have a bait system.
I have the inspection documentation as to when they were installed and pictures. This is a disservice to me as a long standing customer of Terminix.

Made an appointment for Jan 17. The person said he'd be late, and then rescheduled for January 20.
There was no show and no message. I texted the next day and he said someone should have contacted me, but he wasn't going to make it the next day. He did not show up again. I called the company number and she said we weren't on the schedule, but she'd get someone to us on Jan 23.
Once again, there was no text, no show. The service was extremely rude and discourteous. I haven't heard anything till now. If you can't come, just tell the person so we could have moved on.
This was an emergency considering a member of this home will start chemo and needed to come home to a bug-free home.
I'm disgusted and we had used your service for this house 4 years ago.

I signed a $ 1150 contract with Terminix in good faith based on information detailed by a Terminix 1st inspector on a harsh winter day on Jan. 29, 2024.
I was lead to believe that my almost 5 year old roof has 2 exterior holes/entry points evidenced by raised/moved/tampered shingles by young rodents/squirrels to gain entry into to my roof/soffit/attic space, Terminix detailed report including pic. & drawings assert the findings/two roof holes/entry points.
The 1st inspector walked me around the exterior of my house and showed me via his tablets' zoomed-in pictures where exactly the location of the 2 raised corner shingles and entry points are located at the front and backyard at two opposing corners of my roof, and explained to me how these rodents/ young squirrels are accessing my roof/soffit/attic by raising these two corner shingles that are as explained by that 1st inspector clearly raised and tampered with, because it's the time of year for these young rodents/squirrels to build/find a warm nest preferably inside the attic/roof/soffit but in doing so they would inflict more damage as they grow and that it is good of me that i have called at this late January day to avoid the damage to my roof that would take place if these rodents/young squirrels are allowed to stay and nest in the roof/soffit/attic space.
The 1st inspector informed me that Terminix professionals can come within 2 weeks of signing the 6 month service contract to patch up these two holes via metal sheets to protect my roof and to place traps in the attic.
On Feb. 9. 2024, another inspector came by to close the two holes under the two raised corner shingles located at the exterior of my roof at two opposite corners and as detailed by the 1st inspector.
that same inspector could not do a detailed visual hands-on check on Feb. 9, 2024 due to the dangerously high winds on that slippery winter afternoon but that inspector did check the inside attic space and placed the traps on his first visit on Feb. 9, 2024 and promised to come back at a later date to patch up the two holes that are located on the exterior of my roof (under the raised shingles).
On Feb. 10, 2024 and to my surprise, I received a text message from Terminix stating that my Terminix service is now complete.
I called Terminix several times to explain that the service is not complete and the two holes on the exterior of my roof have not been closed/patched and no metal sheets have been used so far, only the traps have been installed in my attic space. I repeated the same information several times to "escalate" this urgent issue to a manager, a manager did not call in reply to this problem.
On April, 19, the same inspector that came by on Feb. 9 paid me a visit and was able to get on the roof this time and do a proper exterior inspection. It turned out that the 2 holes are a lie, my roof doesn't have any holes and the shingles, gutter guards, and flashing are all intact and haven't been tampered with in any form or way as exposed in detail by that Terminix inspector at his 2nd and last visit on April 19, 2024.
i have been tricked to believe that my roof has exterior holes and squirrels are getting into my soffit/attic space by raising the shingles above these exterior holes. All this rodent activity is taking place during Michigan harsh winter season.
In response to this deception/lies of the 1st inspector, that last inspector did a detailed visual hands-on check of my roof on April 19, 2024, that last inspector showed me on his second visit on April 19, 2024 via pictures that he took that my roof/shingles/soffit/ are intact and have not been tampered with in any way or form, that other inspector did a double check on the allegedly tampered/raised/moved corner shingles but found out that these corner shingles/entry point shingles have not been moved or tampered or disturbed by any means, that other inspector informed me that the rodents/squirrels are most likely gaining entry through the roof fan instead, that other inspector did contact his boss to share the result of his findings with pictures and details.
That last Terminix inspector/ 3rd inspector called in on May 6, 2024 and offered replacing my current attic fan with a fan that has a cover to prevent rodents from getting into my roof in exchange for the contracted money amount of $1150 that i paid on Jan. 29, 2024, I refused Terminix offer and asked that Terminix 3rd inspector to let a manager call me so that we can come up with a good solution and not a cheap solution such as this cover up that is designed for the gullible and simple minded humans to accept after being deceived and lied at/taking advantage of by Terminix 1st inspector.
A manager called back on May 8, 2024 and introduced himself as the "inspector boss" who is a manager that has the ability to refund my money, unfortunately the "inspector boss"/manager seemingly didn't know what the issue was, didn't appear to have read the report, and attempted to cover up the deception of his 1st inspector by providing a pre-set a b c kind of choices for me to pick from which only serve Terminix cover up attempt nothing further, I did explain what the problem is and how I was lied at and the deception that was done, and asked for a refund due to the lies/deception of the 1st inspector, the call ended with the "inspector boss"/manager agreeing that this is all wrong and informed me that they would issue a total refund for the lies/deception and get somebody to collect the equipment/traps.
But after a week or so of waiting without Terminix calling in and without a refund showing up in my bank account, i again started the frustrating calls with Terminix customer service, and each time i was told that customer service is escalating this issue to a manager, the same response that i got from Terminix customer service since I started calling them late Jan.
2024, needles to say that nobody bothered to call back to update me on my refund problem.
And finally on May 16, 2024 I got to know that no refund was issued because the refund that the "inspector boss"/manager issued on May 8, 2024 was denied by another manager on May 15, 2024 because that second/other Terminix manager wrote in his denial that Terminix already did 3 site visits (the 1s lie/deception visit, the second is trap setup visit without being able to patch the alleged two holes under the raised shingles, the third visit was when the lies/deceptions were exposed and the assertion that no raised/moved/tampered with shingles are present, and the assertion that there are actually no holes under these alleged corner shingles at the two opposing edges of my roof).
I did ask Terminix customer service representative to let one of the managers (a manager that has the ability to refund my money) call me to resolve this issue before my 6 months contract end date ( my contract started on Jan. 29, 2024).
Needless to say, none of Terminix managers called to solve this issue since the last time that i called Terminix (with the exception of the "inspector boss"/manager as detailed above), leaving less time to resolve this lie/deception till the end of my 6 month contract that has been stalling since the lie/deception was exposed.
I am mentally drained and frustrated at this deceptive cover up and lies that Terminix is still doing.

Upset customer
Never hire these crooks! Terminix was paid a substantial amount of money to perform a rodent exclusion and treatment.
They have miserably failed to do so! The issue is going on for now over 5 months. I have received 2 incorrect reports, exclusion points were missed, technicians did not show up when they were supposed to, traps were not checked. After multiple complaints they suddenly send someone who placed glue traps with POISON inside the house without notifying my tenant, as well an open cage with poison outside the house, which I believe is totally illegal and extremely dangerous!!
I have contracted a local company now, and they were flabbergasted when they discovered the glue traps, open cage and poison in the house! Terminix is the most awful pest control company ever!

High rates but no service. We paid for mosquito treatment for our yard, and after the initial treatment assured us they would come and re-treat as needed.
Currently, I've called for retreatment twice and they have scheduled, then failed to show up.
They always have excuses, but never provide the promised services.
My family is covered with mosquito bites, we are out hundreds, and I am disgusted with Terminix. Avoid this company!

This is in Florida. Even though they collected premiums on policies for 15 years on my residence, which included a mix and fix policy where they repair the damage, they cancelled me and didn't fix any work.
They gave me house tenting as a consolation prize. I fought with them for 4 months and might pursue with a lawyer. Terminix is super shady and they will always do the wrong thing.
I had proof and documentation for days. They suck!

I am having the same level of difficulties in Terminix. I had to request and become unruly for them to remove a charge card on my account.
They are sending out bi-weekly statements, with services being rendered; however, they are posting service dates, that have not even take place. Totally agree! The products are simple based and overpriced. EVERY other month the price changes and I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM to anyone.
I asked why am I being charge a MOSQUITO fee in December, they stated, they will prorate it for me. I want to see a MOSQUITO in the winter. I am sooooo sick of them!
I am very discussed and about to select the legal route. No one wants to talk to me for some reason.
