Verified ReviewerACCOUNT REINSTATEMENT
I have had this account with Terminix on my property for over a dozen years. Furthermore this was already active from the previous owner for several years prior.
I have never missed a payment or been late on a payment. About this time every year, I have recieved a renewal notice, but did not receive anything of the sort yet this yr and the contract always ends on March 31st, I believe... or there-abouts.
I just found out from costumer service that my account was supposedly canceled around the end of 2022 by someone at the local branch.
At no point did I ever request cancelation or authorize it, nor was I ever notified about this.
Furthermore, I was still billed for the 2023 renewal not long after this supposedly occured. My 2023 renewal payment was processed on Feb 17th, 2023 which covers the new contract that goes thru March of 2024.
So Terminix illegally canceled my contract, and still took my money, that means Terminix has stolen my funds covering the remaining portion of the 2022 paid contract as well as the entirety of the funds covering the full 2023 contract.
This is unacceptable and needs to be corrected by fully reinstating this account immediately as well as providing some form of compensation for the error and theft by Terminix.
Preferred solution: Reinstatement and compensation

Verified ReviewerYou wasted my time and I am not happy about it.
I set up an appointment for service on Monday February 5th. I was sent an email that a tech would be at my home at 1pm.
No one came at 1pm like the email stated, so I called customer service and was told my appointment window was 1pm-3pm. I waited and 3pm came and went. I called customer service again. They tried calling the tech and was not able to get through but said they would call me back at 3:15PM.
3:15pm came and went and no call. I called again and was promised that I would be the next customer. At 4:00pm I received a call from the tech that he was not coming to me next and was going to his next customer even though I was promised to be next. He told me I had to wait until 4:45PM.
At this point I am over your company. For one, if you couldnt arrive in the time frame promised, a simple call would have been appreciated. I had to call a total of 4 times. The call center tried their best to keep me as a customer, but your technician was more than happy to cancel my service and encouraged me to do so.
No problem there since I wouldnt want to continue service with people who wont show up. My day was wasted waiting around for your tech. If you cant arrive in the tie frame promised, let your customers know.
Also, a little more clarity in your email would be nice as well since the email made it seem like the appointment was at 1pm and there was no window. I am highly displeased with your company and have already set up services with your competitor.

Verified Reviewer | Savannah, GeorgiaWorst customer service ever
Today is September 8th 2023.
We own a home in Savannah, GA., we have multiple services with Terminex. We have had blown in insulation in the attic with a rodent inhibitor, termite bait station perimeter around the house, quarterly treatment around the outside of the house for pest and a moisture barrier under the house.
The crawl space ranges from 12 inches on one side of the house to 24 inches on the other.
I had a Terminex inspector come out and check the house and his recommendation was that I NEEDED a moisture barrier installed under the house. This was installed by Terminex in March 2022 for around $4500.
A year later, I had some plumbing work done and went under the house with the plumber to see what he had done. It was at this point I saw what a horrible job of installing the plastic sheeting, Terminex had done. I started calling the local number to get someone out to fix the problem with moisture barrier, to no avail.
I called day after day and week after week, I left voice mail for the local manager "Corey", who by the way does not return voice mail and prefers to text me instead of actually calling me, or he has one of his subordinates call me to let me know someone is on the way to my house.
When two techs did make it out to my house on July 18th 2023, they took a look under the house and immediately saw that the wrong material had been used, and it had been installed wrong, one of the techs actually told me this. His words were, "we are going to have to pull all of this out and redo the entire thing, this is the wrong mil plastic and the installation is all wrong. I will let Corey know we have to get you on the schedule." Once they left, I never heard anything else from Corey or Terminex about fixing the problem. This was in July, I have been calling since then to try and get a date on the schedule or get in contact with Corey.
After multiple calls to the local "888" number and the lady who answered saying she left a voice mail for Corey as well, I asked her how I could escalate this to the corporate level, so I could possibly get something done about the poor service and the improperly installed moisture barrier.
She said she was sending the message through the escalation channels, when I asked who that went to, she said to Corey... I asked that it be routed to someone else due to the lack of response from this person on so many other occasions.
I finally get a text and a call from Corey on August 31st. He tells me that he has me scheduled for service on Friday September 8th, 2023 between 9-11. I send a text to the number Corey texted me from on August 31st asking if they were still going to be out this morning.
I receive a call from a different number, not from Corey asking what my expectations are from the techs when they arrive? I am kind of baffled by this. I thought it was very clear, replace the moisture barrier, install it correctly with the correct material. Even more annoying is, why did the manager, Corey, not make this call?
Does this guy not have any contact with customers whatsoever?
I ask the caller how Corey is a manger if he never makes contact with customers? His response was a laugh...

Verified Reviewer | Newburgh Town, New YorkTick protection - horrible service
A person again came to our house. They didn't tell us they were coming and did not tell us when they were here.
My wife and I were sitting on our deck for well over an hour when I heard a truck in our driveway. I got there in time to see a terminix truck turning around...
The second guy "said" he sprayed the entire 2 acres in less than 2 minutes. Several days later, while working in the front yard, I found three ticks attached to me and a number more in the coming day. All these were near our house. So I called Termini x.
The first lady who answered was very nice and when I asked to speak to a supervisor of our service area office she said she left a message with that area manager - no one called. The second time I called, I asked for a supervisor who was above our area office and asked for another spraying. We stayed home on the day that they were supposed to spray but no one came and no one called to say the spraying had been canceled, and no supervisor called from any office as I had asked. So after not hearing anything from Termini x for several weeks, I again called to find out when the next spraying was.
This lady did have a date, but Termini x didn't inform me. Very calmly and being nice, I again asked to speak to a supervisor.
This time the lady asked me why and in a calm voice I went over my recent history with this company - she hung up on me. The service in so very many ways is extremely poor, and I very much question if the product works.
- With a large hornet nest on the house they quickly came
- Horrible recent service
Preferred solution: I would like to be able to talk to a supervisor about the extremely poor service.
User's recommendation: Our local office was horrible - your local office might be better. National office is also unresposive

O response to my service request. Claimed to have completed services but never showed up. Did not call to advise when to expect service
Called to report problem with wasps getting into bedroom. Technician came and sprayed insecticide which killed some wasps but they still continue to enter the bedroom.
This has been going on for over three weeks and weve called four times to get service but we have not been contacted other than by email to tell us they came and no one was home so they send text saying service was completed.
This happened twice and we were home both times and we never received a call from them to tell us that they were coming.
We have been customers for over twenty years in Louisiana and in Virginia. We still have a problem with wasps in the house now but no one has been around to check.
I am ready to fire them and get someone whos willing to do the job.

Company won’t fix damages
Terminix was supposed to fix my Crawlspace moisture problems and I delivered a statement from a foundation company that said they caused my floor to buckle. Instead of letting me out of the contract as promised, they closed the file.
The manager said if I could give him a statement from Crawlspace Solutions then he would let me out of the contract.
He did not hold his word.
I want to also note that throughout this process, the only two people to be nice to me, listen to what I have to say, and not gaslight me have been women. Any man Ive spoken to has gaslighted me, made me feel unheard, and treated me like they could care less.

Red Flag ::: Beware of Terminix practices ::: retrieve your service agreement and find the tiny little part about "automatic renewal" of the contract. They will attempt to bill you for another full year of service several months prior to the expiration of your current contract.
To nullify you must cancel this "automatic renewal" provision in writing (served via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested) a minimum of 30 days before the onset of the "new" contract period regardless, but for your own protection do so immediately regardless of when you engaged them since they try to take the money sooner than they are "entitled". The proper service address should appear in tiny print on the service agreement. It's an egregious violation of trust. They will also attempt to set up a "service call" on the first or second day of your "new" contract.
Really crummy business practice ::: Red Flag ! I hope you read this reply and take it seriously from someone who knows.
Thank you very much for this information.
